CorelDraw Graphics Suite X7 offers professional-quality design tools for graphic artists of all levels. The latest iteration of CorelDraw comes with a sleeker UI, additional tool sets, and greater flexibility. By empowering users in their workflow, Corel offers a more competitive package for digital designers.
PROS
Personalized digital studio: With CorelDraw X7 you have total control over your workspace and design process. Both CorelDraw and Corel Photo-Paint offer different types of intuitive layouts for designers of all levels. Workspaces range from minimalistic (lite), to familiar (default) and even allow custom setups. This means you can spend more time creating instead of fiddling. Adobe users will be able to hit the ground running with the Photoshop- and Illustrator-friendly layouts.
Broader hardware support: CorelDraw X7 can take full advantage of the 64-bit architecture of most current systems -- you're no longer limited by software. Multiple-monitor support allows you to expand the work environment across many screens.
Expanding creativity resources: With the new Corel Connect, you can browse, discover, and exchange patterns and fills with the online Corel community. Discover new content to inspire your creative process, or make your own pattern to share. View online tutorials and instructions to get the most out of the suite.
License and subscription model: Unlike other design suites, users can choose to own CorelDraw for a flat fee (currently $499.99) or go for a monthly/yearly subscription plan. Current CorelDraw owners can upgrade their license for a fee. This dual-purchase model allows a wider range of customers access to the design tools they need.
CONS
PC only: CorelDraw does not have a concurrent Mac release. With a good amount of visual artists choosing Apple as their main system, this lack of support can alienate those who like to do their work across multiple platforms.
Bottom Line
CorelDraw X7 finds a nice balance between the full professional suite and the standard image editor. By offering its usual massive set of tools alongside X7's additional functions, CorelDraw can offer something for everyone, regardless of their skill level. With a friendly, modern UI, comfortable workspaces, and a flexible licensing model, the suite is more usable and affordable than ever. Future add-ons promise users a mobile pattern creator tool for iOS 7 and the ability to browse patterns and fills on the go with a Windows 8 app. Lack of support means that Mac users are left out for now. However, CorelDraw's robustness as an illustrator app may tempt users to give it try, especially at its cheaper rate.
From Corel:
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2018 is a leading graphic design software enjoyed by millions of professionals, small business owners, and design enthusiasts worldwide. It offers a seamless design experience for graphics, layout, illustration, photo editing, tracing, web images, print projects, art, typography, and more. Design with confidence and achieve stunning results.

"Needed Adobe Flash to use"
PROS
did get to try, Will stay with old CorelDraw, it will have a better chance of working in the future due to non-frame works links and it 100x faster on the new systems, than this new turtle bloatware which will likely to crash all the time.
CONS
Needed Adobe Flash to use, stay away or have future problems
SUMMARY
Did not bother to try afterwards due to having to install crappy bloated flash Frame work on my system. if you want your system to run like a turtle and open it up to potential threats. Go ahead and install extra java, .Net, Flash and other crappy overlaying frame works, I will not be one of those people
"Features are great - software is boggous"
PROS
Great features if the software was less boggous
CONS
We have been using CorelDraw since the first versions. It would be a great software if it was not really boggous. We get constant crashes and corrupted files. As soon as you start working seeriously with this sofware (more images, working wit files on a network, color management, etc) The software will start happily crashing and creating lots of corrupted files. Which means lots of lost irrecuperable work. We paid for the support and even Corel cannot help us make the software stables. We lost many files and are currently switching to Adobe.
SUMMARY
No support. Even if you pay they are not really capable of helping with major bugs in the software nor recuperating files that gets corrupted by the regular crashs of the software. Great software if you are only doing minimal projects. When a certain level of complexity is reached in the project files, the software becomes very unstable and the probability of loosing files is very high.
"Worthy alternative to Photoshop and Illustrator!"
PROS
You don't have to pay extra for filters (as opposed to Illustrator)
It is very light.
It gives you several programs (PhotoPaint, BitFont Navigator, Corel Connect & Corel Capture)

SUMMARY
I use CorelDraw on Windows all the time and for functionality it comes close to Adobe's Illustrator/Photoshop applications at a very competitive price point Adobe will never, ever match.
"Equal or better than Illustrator"
PROS
I don't know what trial version you were trying but mine was excellent. I have used it everyday of my trial period and was able to both save and print. It is so much easier to use than say Illustrator, too many wqys to list.
Ok I'll name one thing. Selecting control nodes in illustrator can be so
frustrating, especially on small objects. Not with draw. Working with type is mush easier; resizing, font selection, adding effects, You can save or export to just as many file formats, and further refinement in corel photo paint is a breeze. Compare photo paints eraser tool or clone too with illustrators and you'll see what I mean. Once you learn it you'll never open illustrator again. For a simple page document to a magazine it is my preferred application. I am a graphic designer since 1976.

The newest version is not available for Mac
"Terrible Trial version"
PROS
None whatsoever
CONS
A big waste of time for those who want to try before you buy. The trial version doesn't let you create or save files or in any other way determine the program's capabilities. It's a flat out lie to say that this is a "full 15 day trial." In sum, a disappointing waste of disc space and effort.
"good product"

smart tech

"Does everything graphical & professionally"
PROS
This is a fully professional set of programs (Corel Draw and Photopaint plus Capture (for screen captures).
CONS
At about $400 still a bit on the expensive side for home users. But is a professional level program. Sometimes Photopaint becomes unstable and crashes, so one learns to save frequently. (You can also use the recover feature.)
SUMMARY
Feels familiar and intuitive. As another reviewer said, it is like an old friend.
I have been using Graphics Suite for a very long time, and recently when I upgraded my pc to windows 7 I couldn't find my previous Corel Draw disk, so I tried to get by with the very nice freeware GIMP and Paint.NET. Those programs are excellent, but lacked the flexibility and ease offered by PhotoPaint which is the part of Graphics Suite that I use the most. So I purchased a used, unregistered disk via amazon. If I could not have found a legitimate, discounted copy, I would have paid full price because it is well worth it and is about half what Photoshop costs.
I was so happy with x5 that I bought my daughter a new copy as her birthday gift.
I use Photopaint for photo editing, graphics creation, video title making, and animated gif making. I like that it can open (uncompressed) AVI and MOV files for gif creation.
I use the masking tools a lot also for making transparent gifs and png.
